Director of Data Engineering

We are building commercial-grade technology to operate kidney care services at scale. Our data platform is EMR agnostic which would enable data integrations between different applications. We are in progress of building our first applications on the top of the data platform. The Director of Data Engineering will be involved in the day-to-day operations with product managers, software engineers and the larger technology team to improve our data processes.

Essential Functions

  • Manage and develop a growing team of data engineers and assist with decision making related to the development of cloud-based architecture.
  • Must have the ability to dig into the data and understand business logic within the source system data and make business decisions related to the information and think strategically on how we can provide the right insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work across data science, engineering, clinical, market and financial teams to get to the required outputs and have a passion for continuing to learn new and innovative ways to improve outcomes through data.
  • Focus on developing the team members capabilities through constructive feedback and teaching while also balancing tasks and priorities between multiple client projects and internal initiatives; ensure assigned tasks are executed efficiently and according to project requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have experience with development methodologies, including the AGILE development approaches
  • Have experience working with EMR\EHR systems and an understanding of the healthcare clinical domain
  • Have a working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools
  • Have a working knowledge with structured and unstructured data
  • Able to code and comprehend code around technologies that deal with acquiring data
  • 7-10 years’ experience in healthcare/technology related field and have managed a growing team

 

Annual Salary: $103,742.00- $155,612.00

Strive Health offers competitive compensation and benefits.  An annual performance bonus, determined by company and individual performance, is available for many roles and aligned to Strive Health guidelines.
