National Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our national partnerships team.  This leader will be responsible for direct account management, growth and retention activities for large accounts within an assigned book of business in the Central and East region(s), all ensuring an exceptional end-to-end client experience. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following primary responsibilities.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the book of business meets profitability standards 
  • Develop annual and mid-range strategic plan targets for designated clients
  • Partners with State General Managers to maintain oversight and accountability to their regional P&L.
  • Coordinating with leads of regional finance, clinical, operations, and network teams to ensure profitable programmatic delivery and alignment between strategic and operational priorities
  • Develop strong relationships with key client personnel through open and transparent communications, proactive collaboration, and commitment to fulfilling the Strive corporate mission of helping people live their lives to the fullest potential.
  • Develops strategies to achieve assigned retention and upsell goals by developing deep familiarity with all aspects of client contract including products, service levels, and client KPIs and leading the team on renewals and re-procurements, including developing win-themes, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Provide input to product development teams to develop new products and deliver them to the market constituents 
  • Collaborate with Functional Leads and matrix partners in support of meeting all performance guarantees and to build and maintain a robust account plan per client capturing short- and longer-term priorities, as well as a stakeholder mapping and engagement plan
  • Develops and motivates matrix-managed staff to achieve goals 
  • Maintain strong knowledge of public policy and local market Renal/Nephrology health dynamics necessary to work with the regional leadership and advocacy efforts with key external stakeholders, including state and local government officials

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 - 8 years of experience in sales and/or account management. Experience with strategy, operations, implementation, project management or clinical management, within a health plan or business that directly contracts/serves as a vendor to health plans, preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10% - when safe
  • Knowledge of managed care and/or kidney care
  • Requires Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook,Excel,PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to effectively present to large groups
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in ambiguity
  • Proven to be a self-starter

Annual Salary Range: $90,000.00-$120,000.00

Strive Health offers competitive compensation and benefits.  An annual performance bonus, determined by company and individual performance, is available for many roles and aligned to Strive Health guidelines.
