Manager, Strategy & Development 

The Strategy & Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth across the organization. This person will focus on developing partnerships with payers, from lead generation through partnership design and contract negotiation. S/he will continue to iterate and improve on Strive’s go-to-market strategy and partnership models. In addition, this person will work with the organization broadly to solve business problems and identify opportunities for growth as they come up. S/he must be entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative. S/he should be a curious self-starter, who is excited about the prospect of identifying opportunities and designing solutions to advance the business.  

Essential Functions

Essential Functions 

  • Develop new leads and build relationships with payers
  • Manage potential partners through the business development cycle, from initial conversation to partnership design, contract negotiation, and deal execution 
  • Manage and grow an active pipeline across multiple target markets  
  • Collaborate across growth verticals to build an integrated kidney care delivery ecosystem in target markets  
  • Iterate and improve upon Strive’s GTM strategy, pitch, and partnership model  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop partnership-specific business cases that drive high value partnership designs   


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievement  
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare growth strategy, business development, or consulting 
  • Experience working with or selling to payers, with a deep understanding of value-based care, particularly in primary care 
  • Understanding of risk sharing arrangements and value-based contracting  


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with government programs (ACOs, Direct Contracting, etc.) is a plus 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge communication between business leaders, physicians, and others  
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint  
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in ambiguity; desire to be a self-starter  


Annual Salary Range: $93,000.00 - $104,000.00

Strive Health offers competitive compensation and benefits.  An annual performance bonus, determined by company and individual performance, is available for many roles and aligned to Strive Health guidelines.
